Bring your -- -- high gas station at once again. I'm not gonna let us now is more likely to -- your house once again my -- home. Well you're seeing -- every day in -- DN I'll let. Genie is out sick so we're wishing her all the best to get back OK we think it Apache and we miss you we left you. And so let me partly to do with something a little different here. On her show because -- because that's our show here -- talk radio thirteen seventy we have. Who -- our guest tonight but he's just not any gas is going to be our poll calls against itself. We're not going to wait to induce him to act listening the way okay. We're gonna go and put an end because I know has five -- I met. At whole foods. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I want to welcome to. Thank you to act. Thank you can we get in the car yeah in general. Enjoy and thank you very much. Truly getting excited to be here and literally -- I was slated to be initiatives and. Well I just might give are listening audience some info on ten and can't. How I met. I went to the free opening at whole foods in the domain. And and walked around my little glass of champagne and they were given -- some line. And you know on jurors it was just such -- a neat night and then. I came across this table that had. The sample. Of these two ATF checks. And I'm a bit in 21 of the chips. And listen to me and I'm just not saying it can do you know I'm I'm just not a chipped chipped tiger I'm not I don't you know. I bit into the ship and immediately I fell in love that this ship and I said to the person that was there. I can kitchen on camera -- you know what does it is that what -- there. Is he your personal care and so he put me out to where you where. And that is where I -- With these wonderful chance now now I would like for you to do. This town all of us okay we're letting everybody now. What is this what great product insists that she project. And thank you very much. Ordered auction went -- -- to use. So. What part Turkey is and hockey means that. Our companies started in making tortillas in. 2000 and -- and Reese I was being. -- thirty years now on my dad retired from the air force here in 1982. Some twelve. And a follow next and and high schools -- schools. Yeah. And so. When I was like fifteen a friend of mine and his brother used to have a rookie when distribute it is on the weekends and went on. Few bucks and -- Saturday. And I'll never forget to destruct over com to factory. In Austin and absolutely -- Which means tortilla. Which is come off the group. And I'll never forget. That quirky and unbelievable. And to this day in last year in our factory in your having. Your first -- Lewis. A phenomenal experience spurs forced. Whose love. Use him and so while it's. Great time that day. And and flashback to 2006. And I'm having conversations with separate mine were -- -- -- Is it -- Pitches and ketchup condiments. And my sisters and I catch it means I'm in my -- -- still -- like flaming. And I have picked up front. Yeah. And -- -- like now and it's like instantly thought that were cute you know this whole. Mexican food it's it's for real really use. Yes went to -- what about the tortilla. And she goes tortillas fast moving in overtaking like sliced -- and missiles. Tortillas. So we instantly saw an opportunity. I went to University of Texas and went through their creative advertising programs. Conceptual ending conceptual work. And I'd love. Brand building seeing rains -- -- and I've been blessed you've seen a lot of great brands like sweet tea. I was part of their original packaging and I'm so like I got to see these little things. Grow and I thought we could create something fun like that consumer and writing. In Austin so literally. -- and shifts from the Texas culinary academy. -- -- Society -- -- -- tortillas. So after bouts literally three months weeks we expertise that we really liked. And at the time I was running an advertising success out cancer. He knew how to put this together. Right out of aren't. So I spent my first five professional years and advertising from towns in and worked on Southwest Airlines cool cool -- a lot of experience started my own firm in the -- and and was helping a lot of other firms built their companies so. It was relief and it. Advertising. After literally being and it says -- -- schools and flyers Macintosh. For different. -- -- -- Collegiate careers -- advertising marketing and professional career. After thirty years in the business that's equally you know this is fun and still potentially. Really having fund creek -- -- and so finally about three years ago. After hockey was around for about 23 years that's more hockey is just so it's the -- that's so cool it's grabbing at. Yet banks will we eat you know -- again is this really under. Standings that -- bring in building. You know we wanted you know were history of tortillas started so we looked at the gas that culture yet thanks in the first month -- So we steady there which hockey team from -- -- which meant. So that transition in my life my career was -- about happiness it two kids at the time guys. And so. I said and not that I wasn't happy -- and last night. Do pretty much every day. I felt like to be happier really focus on products. So. Their team. And this is the birth ESPN and this is the birth and so. But those of you who are listening in every now and then we have a show. That's called the -- Russia. And that has been a show where we have brought in some wonderful filmmakers. That have come on and sat down then and kind of opens up what they're doing how they did it and it kind of starting given people. Coale -- an inspiration to start doing they're saying. And sell this -- pretty much like that just as well it's it's at it's it's a dream -- -- you know -- for people that are out there thinking about doing something. And you haven't eaten in your soul and you wanna commit to it. This is just a wonderful inspirational story. And I don't wanna open up to the listening audience when you told me. I can I took the one bag. -- -- -- chips that she gave me to work. And listen it was gone and I went crazy idea I can only share it in my little clinic I wanted to take it around. So that everyone could feel what I've found and tasted. And so what. The samples and things that you had here chorus sharing it with our producer ID and then we're gonna leave a few things back here. For some people here at the station. So they can get a taste of this. But I want us to start talking. About the different flavors. The Dixie -- that you've had here okay okay okay. So the -- is actually holding a bag of -- real hub and aero which is actually quickly become one of our most popular flavors. And it's interesting you know in the in the food world right now there's -- big movement and in hot food if you. What's happened is there's a lot of people who are not sure we all have friends who -- -- That have gone outside yet but like that -- like that. Pot and you'll see something on the shelf that says hi well there's this group crowd is this. Portion of the audience and and consumers out there who are even satisfied with that. They get a lot of things like okay he -- that top relief was behind her and it really wasn't hot yeah. How hot you -- so we we literally I've. I've grown up a lot of friends who -- keep a level that he not as much as I believe and I do now we've made some really hot stuff not become a fan of what they called super hot lots of super hot as a category of pepper that. Includes accurate goes pepper. Now -- Carolina reaper Vietnam. Which is kinda crazy at that we just got back from Dallas today and that the guy who made the world's hottest pepper on his name's Eddy Curry I just met him in light minutes South Carolina -- -- he was in Dallas we drove to Dallas is seen today I think. But he just broke the Guinness book world records at the world as -- hottest pepper or you'll he's got a very interesting story can be in other polls show -- How he created the peppers but it's it's. This crowd of people and that the it's funny I was told people that the pepper lever they're not real big extra efforts. And are not guys that says to you always think of the pepper guys got six and a goal a reality -- -- for guys -- Their real emotion either you'll hear a lot but the moment we put our hot chips on the shelf we started selling out and I get emails from literally. -- he can carry this Q when is this going to be on the East Coast was going to be in the West Coast. And so we literally in October we introduced. The haunting -- pepper which is. Truly probably the hottest ship in the world kind of crazy to say that but it really is. I just want an answer that are listening audience is asking -- that this is solved. Why else I'd need earth thought that has all these bags and and we're like this is like where have her -- I I bet that eighth. Started thumping at night and Saturday. And so when he told us that bad in -- limited edition. And at. Black and white bag and it looks because it or Halloween it is go Steve looking and it says. -- need harm. That's pretty cool right it is by now it's time to it kills. Her and this is the one itself. Yes that would happen is YouTube. You name it there's. Listeners can look at him he's called five. Weeks in the back porch. Reviewed. And literally. You're -- we probably over emails. To date probably five miles. From Europe. Several people going. Can you please this when Austrian. Sent some emails calling it that we finally apple shipped in some. These these. Seek the next. In this and stop until they get it's -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Actually try it so it's been. Article. -- points. In. Bro or flavors that cowboy ranch experience and rose Nina. Called in this eateries like -- -- -- When my favorite flavors it's an incredible and it's not that -- Our original -- which are classic. -- should we use non core of these natural flavors. And he's our callers -- And recently for the don't mean to hand back and we came out of the flavor. Call there. It's sour cream its severity flavor that we created orphans when some other local -- -- decree. Products specifically -- -- the -- so crazy stories. We were all these flavors and -- a -- -- like in August. So excited we can't wait to mean opening we now. And I'm like OK okay. -- -- Well in December and were. Adamant that Willis goes pepper that I did bring -- and flavors that it. -- so. And a the whole foods -- -- incredible person. She remembered. The shipments are. I think -- Brockman. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- And deliberate lie next to it work I mean it is such a good chip on the. Here -- currency and you know we're just having a great time. On -- okay act. This is and and he has -- he has the owner of this. Poppy to Tia -- OK it's local it's here in Austin you cannot beat I mean the flavors. And not only that I'm just looking at the care of -- -- done that makes a wonderful and makes it even tastes. Even great because it just you know sometimes you kind of get busy football what you do so many acts that you're feeling. And you're doing so much so some things start you know dropping on the floor literally. Because you don't have time but it seems on you all have kept that patents. Yeah we have and real quick Julia I wanted to touch on the what you said earlier about that show you did -- -- between east. We're we're blessed because what we do and it's a result of a lot of hard work and a popular only tortillas must be fun and his likeness in advertising. To -- commercials it must be and it is a lot of fun but it's a lot of hard work and it's a lot of focus and when in my sayings is always everyone's created everyone's capable all of your listeners. Anyone is capable of creating their -- product -- -- the next day. It it's just got to go from talk to action and that's really what happens that's I just wanted to make that point because I've done and everybody in Abilene and everybody's dreams. And opulent this and that how do you do that you know how do I act on it and I don't stop until it happens and even if its hundred hour week a case that sent but those who are listing are saying is yeah. I'm starting tomorrow. You know this I you know I'm starting tomorrow and I'm gonna share it with data at a and then data at a dot comes back and says. Don't you know an estimated time it did OK yeah great point half you know how often I hear the word no we can't do it. All the time every time I've heard now -- where you tricky chips of the competition that frequently look at those files. Okay. W not be able make that happen your probability is nichols' shoes and then I then you're gonna run out of money this can happen okay. You just if you have a dream in your head you have to follow it and if you hear any -- on her talk about things like that it's really you have to have the vision and you have to believe it is you're the line don't let anyone else that we year. Your dreams because if you truly can think it it really. It came and -- says many mounds. As those of you are listening out there were talking to. And he says he's a part of of this this great thing that's going on here here and Austin and costs and we're so fortunate we -- I mean. I believe. It's people. -- it costs and that's. It and sell it a happy yet again. Aegis -- in. Aren't yes and and we hope to happen back it's often we can't you don't have to keep bring in the chips was definitely. We are trying to if you do it it's not enough. And it -- -- and so we're talking about his spots and chips that you've hat. In whole foods now what other areas -- what other things are going on right now. So once again we're very blessed. You know we work very hard hockey we've really focus what you know one of our philosophy is we don't chase money we chase great product and great people so. We'd like to surround ourselves with great people and in doing great things that we focus is let's can we hear things all the time there's always somebody trying to be negative there's always wait until you can anti. So we just stay focused and a strong team we are holding -- move forward but. We're super blessed we just got in California with poppy. We two weeks ago leadership chips in New York -- -- in New York Connecticut New Jersey open source now. And I love New York City I don't I've never -- -- he would not have been added. But it's amazing -- I can't wait to go up there -- chips I think will be in the -- -- about two weeks it's just going to be unbelievable. Leadership there are our first order of Florida. So we're blessed that we still understand that. You know -- we we don't we don't have an ego we don't let things get in the way we don't you know does that stuff. You know it's just. Anyway can ramble albeit at kind of our philosophy on things like that we do what's right we wake up every morning we work hard and we focus on the right things. And you had to -- two and a half right -- Uniting you have to you have to have the right. You have to like a football team. Right now can everybody has to be thinking somewhat the same exactly win can't because it's somebody is on the team that's not thinking win. And that banking looser. Then something's not gonna go right okay DC have a -- You're you're exactly right -- -- -- there are some people in the team earlier and we've been blessed once again -- everybody's racing I really believe that every person every. Body it's amazing and creative in their own way. And we've had some people that were part of the team really on that were amazing incredible people. -- what exactly right now there might have been something about oh we not be able do this we're not be able do that you and you know. We the people that are on the team today are all out. Anything's possible anything can happen just from me nothing's gonna stop us once again we're in an extremely competitive category yeah you know you've got Frito-Lay out. We got other other chips you know. And once again it's. It's amazing how often we hear. Who -- not gonna happen probably. But we continue to just can persevere and yes you know we're -- it was against you and I can't Korea with great ways is to meet you because we -- the same thing things happen for a reason you know meeting great people like yourself and -- -- daughter here you there's a reason for everything so what's in things -- espionage -- -- to earlier this has little bit about our story. This is just. And outset we wanna talk about the floor. TOK. It's buttermilk and let's talk a little bit about that because. All these things are so great first of all I'm gonna say. I'm I'm being a mother now I'm proud of that dinky -- I'm proud of our neutrality I appreciate you that you -- you believe in something. And use stuck by it and things are happening and sound. Now let's talk about the pattern not two TOK that is. You just wrote a great word that kind of. -- kind of defines who we will we are about it and hockey's about classic comfort. When you say the word buttermilk and me I mean now. -- -- out and agent literally it's like grandma's -- so if you look at our flavors -- looking real scenario we have these discussions all the time he's dead wood about this kind of -- -- -- and -- important and you'll never see hockey like -- there. Chocolate -- Happening not gonna happen except. -- bacon and yeah we all -- Buttermilk biscuits and we have a roast Peter is also. Back to the tortillas. And so that's where we started but it was our first our classic that is our regional -- that is your your your -- flour tortilla yes we sold the most of the but it looked -- -- -- anything but congress looking you know we roast her -- -- -- accurate ourselves. Are excellent record yet -- Shuster excellent -- that we use -- -- to -- -- its enemies. We make a pumpkin -- in the fall. Let me -- -- -- -- -- exactly isn't that just look at. -- play out -- -- that they're got to get widgets that smiled for the rest of the night and sell. The wonderful thing about the -- out here we get thirty minutes. -- Every Saturday. I'm news -- with Canada and it's an assignment. Met via ED I can just it was just it divide which is there it was good juju and I knew that you're gonna bring it. And -- for those of you who -- listening. That went to tastes these off some products and isn't it I can't say enough. Call for all of them and them. And it is the cool listening here I'm I'm put in practice I -- shields -- talking about it. So I'm certifying OK it's certified. And it is the best chance that you're going to institutes. To your time and it. And so how can you at the listening on how can people get in touch with -- can catch on FaceBook. Twitter. Yes Julian for years listeners anybody that you know it's done hockey dot com PQ Ida com received special hockey goodie bag. And -- also gently and I want to let your listeners know tonight that some breaking parking news if you wanted to share this with your audience. Hockey's about to release a brand new line of work in axles. That we've been working about the past six months on the World Series. Yes that. We're gonna you guys your listeners are the first ones here tonight hockey is releasing a line or in excels we've been asked -- -- long time the actual -- of look how many -- as an -- and now and that's why I never wanted it but I knew about networking and I had these classic comfort flavors and we've got it now. And we're announcing in Californian and a time on March 7 so if you are out. Lately we've got the first with the here tonight. Okay hot tub last. And they're doing now listeners here -- talk -- it just doesn't listen to me every Saturday night. The grace of god and I think -- so much. They show like -- thirty minutes but we have some of them on special guests that come through at this time you don't have to. But -- -- man at this time and you turn on sent out and sell offs and just before relates I think we only got about three minutes. You say you've sent some chips also for the super. All -- what was going on -- -- him but Belgium and eat your so incredible your -- so I do -- make you missed his it would. Its target pocket dot com PH EU wide outcome police in the week and and I wanna take care everybody. We we've we've made in the last three weeks about 45000. Bags of chips for the Super Bowl for all of our retail customers. I'm so there's going to be a lot of hockey to spread throughout the song. Me it to -- and beauty and the and this doors open anytime you all -- it on and talk about where you go and which this is what we do and we it and the -- when -- on and on and turn it. It's. -- even if it out here on talk radio. Banging out. I guess is the one for he's slipped hockey -- it easier to. If you hit enough. The hockey and you can -- It. -- -- -- -- -- -- It. I am okay.
